OH KY EVENTS
LOGO DESIGN | BRAND ILLUSTRATION
In 2019, I initially assisted Karla by creating a basic logo for her newly launched Party Supply & Rental Business, OH KY Events.
Since then, she has diligently worked on establishing her brand. I was delighted to assist Karla once again when she decided it was time for a new logo to better align with her brand's evolution!
OH KY Events is a small business specialising in party supply rentals, providing everything from balloon garlands to photo booths. Given the personal nature of her business, it was evident that Karla wanted her branding to reflect her unique personality. Thus, we aimed to design a bold, fun, and quirky new logo!
We opted for a vector illustration-style logo to complement her recently created party brand graphic, and we incorporated colours from her existing colour scheme. One challenge Karla faced with her previous logo was readability. To address this, I employed a rounded sans serif typeface and increased the spacing between the letters of OH KY. However, to maintain the quirkiness, we utilised a serif font with brush-like strokes as serifs for the word "events."
